Losing the ones we love is always difficult. We are reminded of the hurt and angst that we experience here on Earth without our loved ones. My prayer this year is to help fill everyone’s heart with hope, faith, and LOVE. With the current tragedy in Connecticut, it makes me realize just how broken our world is, but we can still continue to share the love we have for one another, just one person at a time.
There are many young angels in heaven this year. I have found joy and peace again in the comfort of our Savior. I find comfort in knowing that one day we will be reunited with them too. I’m not sure who wrote this poem, but it has given me comfort through the Christmas seasons to help me know that our young angels are in a good place right now! It is all part of the plan that is so hard to understand right now.
My First Christmas in HeavenI see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven’s stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can’t compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, We really aren’t apart.
I send you each a special gift from my heavenly home above,
I send you each a memory of my undying love.
After all “love” is the gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do.
For I can’t count the blessings or love that he has for you.
So have a blessed Christmas, and wipe away that tear,
Remember and be glad I’m spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Life is short and precious. Our hearts are heavy for everyone who may have lost a loved one in this tragedy or in recent years.
Please feel free to leave the name of your angel/s in Heaven no matter when you lost your loved one.
Josh P.–his first year in Heaven. His family is still devastated without him.
Wow, what a great poem! Great article. I don’t have a little angel in heaven and my heart breaks for the families that do. I too have comfort in knowing that Jesus is with us and that one day we’ll be able to give all those brave little angels a hug!
