If I choose to do group coaching, will it work?

With any program that you choose it will ultimately depend on you.   If you truly desire to transform sleep and parenting in your home, then this will work and I will share the tools and strategies, stories, to help you create sleep success in your home.   I can promise you that I will do my very best to help you succeed in our group setting.

What’s the difference between Group Coaching and a Personal Consultation?

Group Coaching can be more affordable for some families that need help getting sleep.

The Sleep Filled Nights series is great for those who really want to do it themselves.  They need more support than what a sleep book is offering.  We will trouble shoot infants, toddlers, and preschoolers needs in our sessions.  The information will be general, but catered to the particular attendees in our group from the sleep intake they will fill out before we begin.

The personal consultation is going to be specific to you and your family.   We are going to dig deep to learn more about your parenting style and your child’s temperament.  We will walk through all of the in’s and out’s for you specific details of your sleep history form.

I don’t believe in cry it out.  How are you going to teach me to help my child sleep?

Great, I don’t like to leave children to cry it out either- so we are on the same page.

I’m going to share habits, some that you might be doing, and my hope is you’ll learn something new, and some that might be a little more challenging.   I’m going to share the action steps you can take to use gentle sleep solutions in your home.

I believe that when you figure out that just right timing and blend that with the right sleep coaching technique you achieve sleep success with less crying than you thought there would be.

I’ve tried cry it out and that didn’t’ work- how is this different?

I’m sorry that cry it out didn’t work.  That’s not only hard on your child but hard on you too.   I’m going to make you aware of the ways you might be teaching your child to cry or your older one to whine.  Unfortunately I did this too. I’m guilty of this for sure- you’ll learn more when we work together.

I’m not perfect, but now I’m aware and conscious of the choices I make in my parenting constantly having to check- in and reevaluate the situation.   We certainly don’t do this on purpose, but through our accidental parenting- we’ll make sure that you are not teaching your baby to cry longer or harder from your reactions.

I’ll be guiding you along the way to make sure you understand the ins and outs of sleep coaching so that you will experience success.

What is the Sleep Filled Nights series going to teach me?

In this sleep series I am going to share the 7 habits that will not only help you get sleep, but keep sleep in place.   Through my work with personal clients, I have found that there are 7 areas that are really habits that I cover with families to help them achieve sleep success.   In our weekly calls we will dive into each and every one of these.  This isn’t a short-term quick fix, but an ongoing journey that you’ll come back to and remember you have the tools you need.

I’ve read the books and it’s still not working for my child?

Great, you’ll be even more prepared and we will bring that sleep book to life for you.

What if my baby is 6 months or younger?

If your baby is 6 months or younger, than I would not begin any formal sleep training/ coaching.  However, this series will specifically cover habits to create around sleep, which can be helpful to you if your child is in that 4-6 month window.  You most certainly can create some of these healthy sleep habits so that you won’t have to sleep train your baby.

What can I expect from the group coaching experience?

You can expect to learn how to not only start getting sleep with gentle sleep solutions, but keeping sleep in the long run.  Many times we can make a change and see results quickly.  But what happens down the road is that we didn’t change or modify our habits and sleep can fall apart again.   I will equip you in dealing with teething, grow spurts, mental leaps, developmental milestones, travel, and of course when our little ones get sick too.   You’ll have the know how of getting back on track always.

What if I have questions along the way?

I’ve created support intentionally for you because I know as we go through our program you’ll have many questions.   And I want to make sure that you get your answers.  I’ll answer them in our private Facebook Group.   I’ll check in at least once a day for the 7 weeks of this series to make sure I address your needs.  You’ll also have 2 live question and answer sessions.

The other great advantage to group coaching is that you’ll be with a group of parents that are going through a similar situation too, so together we can all problem solve and share suggestions and solutions.

I have child with special needs, will you be able to with their needs?

I’m not sure.  It really depends on the severity of your situation.   You may want to set up a time for us to speak so I can understand your sleep scenario.  Children with special needs do sleep and can be taught to sleep, but sometimes we will need to look into their sleep history a little more intently and that would be best assessed in a personal consultation program.

We’ve tried everything up until this point, what will make this any different?

I hear this a lot, and I’m sorry it’s not working.   Sometimes our children are not by the book.  We need to think outside the box and explore and understand what’s taking place developmentally to make sure it is a good fit for you and your child.

My baby will only go to sleep if I hold him because of his reflux.  Will this be helpful?

Yes, reflux is one of the many underlying medical concerns parents may have for their baby.   Holding, bottle-feeding, nursing, rocking are among some of the other sleep crutches we may have.   You’ll learn more ways to support your little one to soothe themselves.   Chances are, they may already be doing, and you might not know it.

We will talk about making sure your baby is ready for sleep coaching so that you are making informed decisions for your family.  You’ll also learn how to communicate and advocate for your child with your pediatrician so that you can assure healthful habits.

When and where do the calls take place?

The calls will take place for 7weeks beginning on Wednesday, February 12.

Each week will have a full hour discussing each habit, answering questions right from the comfort of your home.

What if I am not available to attend the group coaching session live?

All of the weekly calls and Q and A sessions will be recorded for you to listen to on your own time.

How long will we have access to the materials?

You will have access to the Sleep Filled Nights series recordings and resources for as long as you like.   Keep the email with the login information.

I hope that this helps settle your concerns about getting sleep in place for your family.    I know how important it is to you to make the best choice for your little one.  If you’re still unsure, feel free to set up a time for us to talk, and I’ll be happy to answer your personal questions too.
